Live chat is really happening and we would love for you to join us, thanks

Yes, it is live from Oslo and yes, we will try and help you talk about your live concert experiences and if you can particpate in the live polls we would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes we are talking about Simon Cowell, that stupid media thing about cultural appropriation, because it is a dippy idea. Perhaps it is preventing you from trying live music?
Perhaps you did not notice? Please tell us about your live music experiences and if you have had any. If not how do we make them for you?

Inferno Metal Festival. Evanescence, Cradle of Filth, and Machine Head.

Halloween Maybe Cancelled due to Cultural Inappropriation.

It is about time that we talk about this cultural appropriation topic and just say that it does not belong in metal. I tried to be funny about it. Please be patient when it comes to subtitles. They will follow, so please feel free to share and tell me what you think on Sunday.

Increased the playlists on You Tube because I can hardly speak

Marton is unable to talk at the moment. I have finished a concert and have another tonight. I think it is only right that I give you a playlist or two to listen to, with next weeks bands in Oslo. So it expands your listening and it gives you some more to talk about amongst yourselves.

Oslo Big intros, big hair and drums with Fenriz from Darkthrone moments

Bit of a strange moment with the subtitles or captions on YouTube today. I do not think they want to translate Norwegian into English.... How very dare they!!!!

Oslo Big intros, big hair and drums with Fenriz from Darkthrone moments

If you watch the video on YouTube, you will find out about Darkthrones and Fenriz. Let me explain, if you do not know who Fenriz is. He is an amazing character, happy and cheerful. He loves music and my playlist on YouTube will feature him.

If you suddenly want to become a fan of Darkthrone and you really want to buy some original merch do, have a look  at Katakomben  and It will give you CD's and LP's.

I suppose I have to do my playlist now.

New Inferno Metal Festival Posters around Oslo.

I know I should have gone close up for the Portugese fans of SINISTRO are all waiting with baited breath to see their band in print for Inferno Metal Festival. As I saw these shiny beauties, I knew that I had to show you all.

Oh and apparently there are more additions coming.

I hope that you can join us tomorrow live for a chat, so I can introduce you to Marton Hartvig. He will conduct interviews and present some of the shows at concerts. We will be having a debate at 21:00 Oslo time, which is +01:00 GMT .

Be nice to hear from yourselves chatting to us here in Oslo through LIVE chat, whilst we are streaming so we can answer your questions. Inform you about what happens at Inferno Festival.

Also, we will begin the show with a little POLL and debate: Media black out of Rock, Punk and Metal.  The only reason why I am not pointing out specific genres will be my reason for the debate tomorrow. I would enjoy hearing your thoughts LIVE and I will read out the ones who pay really quickly. Also, it is a chance for you to ask any other questions about what happens in Norway and compare it to where you live.

Young Oslo people prove they are ready to rock

This is a queue from todays  All Time Low concert at Sentrum Scene. It looks like the young folks in Oslo like to let their hair down, doesn't it? It looks like they are fed up of pop music, does it not.

I would hope they cross over to Black metal and power metal very soon. I like bands like All time Low because they are like an introduction of what could possibly be the most amazing awakening ever. Well done for turning up so early. I hope the concert was good.

Please join in the live chat on Media blackouts of rock, punk and metal at 21:00 Sunday 08.10

I know this is probably the most discussed subject around. However, I will have Márton Hartvig who is apart of the reality TV version of MTV. I would like to hear his thoughts on how the rock, punk and metal industry competition is and how much of a struggle it is to be young in the black metal community. I will ask him those questions, but feel free to join in the debate and give us your questions. All the ones who pay for their questions to be read out will be read out and we will try our best to answer the questions.

Have you ever heard FROST the drummer? Satyricon

Satyricon are an amazing band, just listen to the drumming and it will take your breath away. It is one of the reasons why the genre is so amazing because of the intensity of the drumming. Everything else is called progressive metal. I heard someone say Tsjuder was progressive metal. I mean, I have disagreed with that statement because they have other features. Like for example Enslaved who are a little less heavy on the drums are still Black Metal. So, you could debate this with friends as long as a night and listen to music from so many bands. It is amazing.

Please support Inferno festival on You Tube even if you are not Norwegian. It will be a chance to see all bands. Please, subscribe to my channel where I will try and find all the #Rock #Punk #Metal concerts avaliable to keep you informed. Follow me and subscribe to the channel. I will give you motivation to take your mind off of bad news on YOUTUBE. \m/

Inferno Festival will have new posters because Satyricon are coming :D

Metal and Black Metal Poster for concerts Winter 2017 - 2018

Making this Extra Large for people to see who is coming next year and during winter to Oslo. Manowar is sold out. I mean, those things just will not happen. You will not be able to get a ticket for love nor money when they out sell.

I heard and can recommend, Nick Oliveri. As he is rather sensational, former Queens of the Stone Age member, left to do a solo career back in 2004. It will be nice because I saw QOFTS, post Oliveri and they are good, but, the lyrics are not that amazing. He had a special way of making them sound with his guitar riffs. Think about it a little longer.

"I never heard of PAIN till I came to Norway"; is a common expression between travellers who drink in RockIn, Oslo. You walk into the basement and all the Norwegian regulars love to share PAIN with you. It is a marvellous, satirical gesture of good will if you hear one or two songs from PAIN :
or due to Sabaton fans

They are all to happy to serve you in RockIn and also have you select your PAIN song. Very funny. I love the fact they do this. I had no idea who they were. I even tried to use shazam and it stupidly does not do metal or rock. It is a ridiculous app which does not even recognise the deepest of Black Metal. So the bar staff even help you with the names of the tracks playing, if you are not from those parts. All very friendly and this is why everyone goes for their jukebox moments.

Condolences to Las Vegas Concert goers on twitter

I had already posted my condolences to Las Vegas as soon as I hear it. I hope that they can overcome it.

Oslo has had it's own misfortune. I wish that all the fans of every genre remain positive and keep continuing to go to concerts. Do not let this prevent you from being a fan and supporting your favourite bands. We are all there for one another.

Rock, Punk and Metal crowd surfing videos made in Oslo by you the fans.

Normally, Black metal fans do not crowd surf, it is very rare and impossible to find some. If you know anyone or see anyone crowd surfing, please film it. Better still use a Go Pro to help us have more evidence of the activity.

Rock, Punk and Metal on the other hands, has fans really desperately trying to get to the stage. Do they make it??? I do not know. Have a look at the video of Hatebreed :D

It was positively funny to watch. Keep filming your awesome videos Oslo.

A fantastic name for a black metal band - FILTHDIGGER

I have a wish list of all the things I want to buy for black metal. This band sounds like a lot of reasons why someone falls in love with black metal. What a wonderfully comical name.

Katakomben are based in Oslo and specialise in Black metal and Norwegian metal. They have all the merchandise: t-shirts, LP's, CD's and tapes you could ever want. Yes, you can order anywhere around the world and they will deliver it. However, there will be extra fees in packaging. You know it is worth doing.

Paradise Lost Sold Out in Oslo is grounds for fans to stay alert!

Pic by: Magnus Emeritus Engen

This is how serious it becomes in Norway. On a Sunday night a band is sold out, the venue is filled with people. Some of them complain they needed to be in Rockefeller because they wanted to buy tickets to have their friends come.

This is how serious, Rock, Punk and Metal is in Oslo. Many of the people go out, two times in one weekend or during the week to see bands. The dedicated many of the Oslo folk who love their music so much, buy the merchandise and buy all the LP's; fill John Dee, before even the main band, as they know their band chooses the best line up for them.

This is how the fans love the music so much and trust the band. The fan who took the photo (Magnus Emeritus Engen) , who is Trondheims biggest GHOST fan and ghost hunts in Sweden, Poland and many places to follow GHOST, said:
"Paradise Lost had GHOST, play at one of their concerts and now - GHOST are big and filling up arenas."

My thoughts on this are many reasons, perhaps one of them being that Paradise Lost is a band whom prefer to keep their devoted fans and do not wish to loose their fans who are dedicated to them by becoming too mainstream. Many bands come to cross roads where they have to make a choice, to become mainstream, or, stay niche. This is one of those questions fans grapple with themselves.

My suggestion is to buy your tickets as soon as you find out a band is playing in Oslo, to prevent heart ache. Then, if you cannot attend due to unforseen circumstances, just sell your tickets on finn.no or something so that you can help another fan.

During COVID 19 there has been problems but I agrue it was before then.... please listen to the reasons why and support #redalertnorge http...
